Professional Qualifications

Dorothy Zaris and Patricia Coglianese are both certified as Canine Behavior Counselors.  They have been certified, after extensive training and internships, by the Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

They are graduates of the not-for-profit Animal Behavior Center of New York (ABCNY), recognized as one of the top canine behavior internship programs in the US (Dog Fancy Magazine). Both Dottie and Pat have also served as staff trainers and instructional supervisors of interns preparing to be dog trainers and behavior counselors.

Dottie is a board member of Hi-Tor Animal Care Center. In addition, their volunteer efforts include working with shelter and rescue dogs to make them more adoptable.

Both Dottie and Pat are animal behavior counselors for the TV Show: “Pets: Part of the Family”.
